The research results show that the adolescent reproductive health care model has been implemented at Yen Dung High School No. 1, Nham Son Commune, Yen Dung District, Bac Giang Province. The model is implemented with the main contents of technical counseling, life skills related to reproductive health/sexual health, reproductive health check-ups, contraception and sexually transmitted diseases; the form of operation of the model is also diverse from direct counseling, club activities, radio, leaflets/flyers to organizing competitions or integrating into subjects... Regardless of the form, the content is aimed at raising awareness, attitudes and behaviors of adolescents about reproductive health care.
The study also showed that adolescents participate in the reproductive health care model. However, their participation is not uniform across forms and contents, which shows that the activities of the model are not attractive to adolescents. The level of satisfaction of adolescents when participating in the model is relatively high but not uniform.
The role of social work in the implementation of the model has also been pointed out through the roles of education, consultation, and linkage. The social work approach has helped the program implementers to be more convenient in solving adolescent problems in reproductive health care.
The implementation of the adolescent reproductive health care model at Yen Dung High School No. 1 still faces difficulties due to limited awareness and concepts of reproductive health, uneven professional qualifications of the program implementation team, and lack of connection and synchronization with related departments.
