The thesis clearly identifies the demographic and sociological characteristics of the television audience of Hanoi Radio and Television Station; the level and methods of information reception and needs of the Hanoi audience; the level of participation in the communication process and public feedback on television programs of Hanoi Radio and Television Station, thereby highlighting the characteristics of the television audience profile of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

Furthermore, the thesis provides a clear assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of Hanoi's television programs. Based on this, it offers recommendations and solutions to improve the quality of content and format of programs broadcast on Hanoi Television Station in particular, and to enhance the overall effectiveness of Hanoi Television Station in general. This will be valuable practical experience for journalists in general and program editors and producers at Hanoi Television Station (including the author) in particular.

This thesis introduces the characteristics of Hanoi Radio and Television's audiences in terms of population and social aspects; the frequency, the way to follow and demands of those audiences; the frequency of joining communication process and feedbacks towards programs broadcast by Hanoi Radio and Television, from which the portrait of Hanoi Radio and Television's audiences is depicted clearly and accurately

On the other hands, this thesis shows the strengths and defects of broadcast programs in Hanoi Radio and Television. Solutions and programs are then raised in order to improve the quality of Hanoi Radio and Television programs, regarding its contents and forms in specific and to improve the operation of Hanoi Radio and Television in general. This will be highly valuable and practical experience not only for journalists in general but also for correspondents working at Hanoi Radio and Television (including the author of this thesis) in specific.
