10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis presents and evaluates the current situation and causes of difficulties in primary health care for poor women in Dong Son commune. From there, it identifies the needs of poor women and the role of social workers in supporting primary health care for poor women. The research results show that poor women in Dong Son commune have a great need for support in primary health care, the most important of which is the need to be provided with the most necessary and basic knowledge in this field such as: knowledge of reproductive health care, care during pregnancy, knowledge of nutrition, environmental sanitation, etc.
From the above results, the thesis also proposes some appropriate social work measures to support primary health care for poor women in Dong Son commune. In which, the necessary role of social workers in supporting primary health care for poor women in the commune is clearly seen.
11. Practical application:
The thesis delves into the understanding of the current situation and needs of poor women in primary health care; points out the roles of supporters and proposes feasible solutions for improvement. The results of the thesis can be applied to develop the role of current commune-level social workers, while contributing to promoting the activities of the commune-level social work network, bringing many practical benefits to poor women in Dong Son commune.
12. Further research directions:
Primary health care has always been given special attention by the government, but in reality, it still faces many difficulties and limitations. In particular, there is no participation of social work in this field. Poor women living in difficult areas are always disadvantaged in accessing health care services, but there are no specific policies and measures aimed at each of these groups to increase their autonomy in improving their own health as well as that of their families and society.
Therefore, through the results of the thesis, some further research directions can be proposed:
- Studying measures to enhance the autonomy of poor women in mountainous areas in primary health care.
- Study measures to develop the role of social workers in the field of primary health care for poor women in difficult mountainous communes.
- Some opinions on building policies to support poor women in mountainous areas in primary health care.

This thesis presents and evaluates current situation, the causes of difficulties in primary medical care activity for poor women in Dong Son village today. From the evaluation, it identifies poor women's needs and roles of social workers in supporting primary medical care for poor women. Research results show poor women in Dong Son village have significant need to be supported in primary medical care, and most important, to be supplied with the most basic and necessary knowledge in this field such as: knowledge about reproductive health care, pregnancy care, nutrition, sanitation, ...
From the above results, the thesis also proposes a number of appropriate social solutions to support primary health care for poor women in Dong Son village. It shows the necessary role of social workers in supporting primary health care for poor women in the village.

Thesis gives an insight into the situation and the needs of poor women in primary health care; points out the role of supporters and recommends improving feasible solutions. The thesis results can be applied to develop the role of current social work officers at commune level, and contribute to enhance activities of social worker network at commune level, bringing many practical benefits for poor women in Dong Son village.
13. Further research directions, if any:
Although primary health care has always been noticed by the government, there are still many difficulties in practice. Especially, there is a lack of social workers' involvement in this field. Poor women in many difficult regions are disadvantaged in accessing health care services, while there are no policies and concrete measures towards increasing their capacity autonomy in improving their health and that of their families and society.
Therefore, the thesis results can suggest some directions for further research:
- Find out solutions to strengthen the autonomy capacity of women in the poor mountainous areas in primary health care.
- Find out measures to develop the role of social workers in the field of primary health care for poor women in difficult mountainous areas.
- Some comments on policy development to support poor women in the mountainous areas in primary health care.
