10. Summary of the thesis results:

- The thesis applied the theory of aesthetic signals to conduct research on several aesthetic signals in Vietnamese folk songs:Rain, sunshine, wind, shirt, apron.

- Besides examining the frequency of occurrence, the thesis also analyzes the distribution potential of signals within the system. This system revolves around two axes: the linear axis and the associative axis, resulting in a rich variety of variations in the use of aesthetic signals: lexical variations, combined variations, and relational variations. These three types of variations are closely combined and complement each other to highlight the diverse and flexible distribution potential of signals when functioning in folk songs.

- Thesis on signal analysisrain, sun, wind, shirt, apronthrough its many layers of symbolic meaning, to provide a more comprehensive and profound view of the position and role of aesthetic signals in Vietnamese folk poetry as well as in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people.

11. Practical applications:

By clarifying the aesthetic signals in folk songs, this thesis will contribute to helping readers better understand the beauty and charm of Vietnamese folk songs, and assist teachers in a deeper analysis of folk song works taught in schools.

- Studying some other aesthetic signals in Vietnamese folk songs such as:mountains, rivers, rice, flowers, birds, fish, houses, chopsticks, lamps, scarves…

- Besides investigating about frequent of appearance, thesis also analyzes distribution features of symbols in system. This system turns around both the vertical and horizontal axis, which results in such rich variants as: lexical variants, syntagmatic variants and symmetrical ones. These three variants are closely combined to highlight the diversifying and flexible distribution capacity in folk songs.

- From linguistic-cultural aspect, the thesis utilizes symbolical meanings of aesthetic symbolsrain, sun, wind, blouse, plastronin Vietnam folk songs to bring a comprehensive and profound view about the position and role of the aesthetic symbols in folk song as well as spiritual life of Vietnamese.
