10. Summary of the thesis results:

Science and technology play a crucial role in ensuring the development of all organizations and nations. In the business sector, large enterprises have invested significantly in R&D activities, both organizationally and financially. The R&D department is closely linked to production and business operations, forming the cornerstone of R&D and innovation. This is because R&D activities enable businesses to survive in the market, develop, enhance their competitiveness, generate profits, and achieve business goals. R&D helps businesses manage operations better, utilize capital efficiently, use labor effectively, improve and refine products, and create new products. Competition is the driving force behind innovation in businesses, R&D is the engine for development, and the development of R&D activities in a business is directly proportional to its competitiveness in the market.

In the Vietnamese electricity market, EVN has been a monopoly for decades in electricity production, transmission, and distribution, essentially eliminating competition. Therefore, there is no incentive for EVN to innovate, hindering the development of R&D within the company. In the process of innovation, EVN itself recognizes the importance of R&D. EVN has also observed other companies (Viettel, Samsung, etc.) investing in and organizing R&D activities for their business development. Given its current monopolistic position in the electricity sector, EVN benefits both individually and collectively without the need for innovation, and consequently, the presence or absence of R&D activities is no longer considered crucial. From the research of this thesis, it can be concluded that the underlying cause is the monopolistic position and role that has hindered R&D activities at EVN. At the same time, the thesis initially proposes solutions to promote EVN's R&D development, bringing benefits to EVN itself, the community, and society.

11. Practical applications: This will help EVN's leaders at all levels to specifically identify the barriers caused by their company's monopoly, in order to find solutions to integrate EVN and the Vietnamese electricity industry into the market economy, fostering innovation, dynamism, and development in the future.

12.Further research directions: We see that many factors influence businesses, determining how and in what way they innovate. Specifically, the thesis cited the case of EVN, where monopoly hindered R&D activities, but that is only one aspect, one issue; meaning there are many other factors besides monopoly. I believe that factors such as scientific and technological resources, human resources, technology, culture, etc., may also hinder R&D activities at EVN. These are issues that need to be researched to find comprehensive solutions to help EVN, as well as the Vietnamese electricity industry, integrate into the market economy, innovate, be dynamic, and develop in the future.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: ..............................................................................

Science and technology has a huge role to ensure the development of all organizations and all countries. In the field of business, large enterprises have a big investment in R&D in both the organization and financing. R & D associated with the manufacturing business, the backbone of R & D and innovation. Because the R & D activities help businesses survive, develop and enhance their competitiveness in the market, profitable and achieve business goals. R&D helps enterprises/businesses manage better jobs, using capital efficiently, employers effectively, finishing, product innovation, as new products,... The competition is motivation pushed to the enterprise innovation; R & D is the driving force for the development and growth of R & D activities in enterprises proportional to the competitiveness of firms in the market.

In the power (electricity) market of Vietnam, EVN's monopoly business for several decades both in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, so, basically, the competition is not there. Therefore, there is no incentive to promote innovation EVN, as prerequisite for R & D activities in the development of EVN. During the renovation process, EVN itself recognizes the importance role of R & D activities for the business. EVN itself has seen businesses (Viettel, Samsung ...) investment, organization of R & D activities for the development of enterprises. With a monopoly of power sector today is economic benefit individuals or collective EVN are without innovation, and of course whether or not R&D is not important anymore. From the study of the thesis, it can be shown that from the underlying cause of the position and role monopoly hindering R&D activities in EVN. Also thesis initially offers solutions to promote the development of EVN R & D activities, beneficial to the EVN, community and society.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

This thesic will have contribution to leadership at all levels of EVN recognized by specific barriers proprietary enterprise solutions put them to EVN and the Vietnamese power sector integration with the market economy, innovation, dynamism and development in the future.

13. Further research directions, if any:

We understand that there are many factors that impact on business, business decisions, such as how innovative. specifically, the thesis describes the case of EVN's monopoly hindering R&D, and that's just one aspect of a problem. They mean that there are many other factors in addition to exclusive. That might be factors of resource S&T, people, technology, culture... they are also factors that hinder R & D activities in EVN. These are issues that need to be studied continuously to give complete solutions for EVN as well as Vietnam's power sector to integrate into the market economy, innovation, dynamism and development in the future.
