10. Summary of the thesis results:

Along with the strong economic development of our country in the current period, the amount of hazardous waste is continuously increasing, creating great pressure on environmental protection efforts. Students, the intellectual class of society, are facing a huge challenge due to a lack of understanding of ecology and the environment, a lack of skills and knowledge to cope with climate change, and a lack of awareness of daily environmental protection such as waste collection and sorting. Currently, a segment of students have habits that affect the environment, such as littering indiscriminately and not in designated places, and a lack of awareness in participating in environmental protection awareness activities. Research results show that there are not significant differences between different groups of students in terms of awareness and behavior in daily household waste collection. Environmental issues are of great concern to students; most students have a good understanding of environmental pollution caused by household waste, but their attitudes and behaviors are still incorrect. This is especially important in the classification, collection, and processing of household waste. Therefore, local authorities need to conduct awareness campaigns, and environmental organizations and schools need to provide students with the necessary environmental knowledge to improve their understanding of household waste collection, classification, and processing, and to change their perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors towards protecting the environment around where they live and study.
