The thesis has clarified three main contents: Overview of China's territorial expansion process, application of International Relations Theories to explain the reasons for China's territorial expansion, thereby drawing out the characteristics of China's territorial expansion and the response policies of relevant parties. Especially, drawing out highly practical solutions for Vietnam in dealing with China's territorial expansion.
Previously, most of the research documents on China's territorial expansion only focused on historical research methods without applying systematic theories, especially international relations theory, to explain the motives and causes of the territorial expansion issue. In fact, there have not been many scientific research articles or scientific papers on this topic written based on the perspective of synthesizing international relations theory. Therefore, the topic has profound theoretical and practical significance.
11. Practical application:
Starting from a thorough explanation of the causes of China's territorial expansion, we will have a profound, multi-dimensional view. Understanding the causes, methods and policies of China, Vietnam will then apply these issues to build a comprehensive diplomatic solution to respond to China's territorial expansion in order to maintain peace and stability in the Vietnam-China border area.
12. Further research directions:
The issue of China's territorial expansion is still ongoing with many complicated developments and the participation of many related parties, in which the topic of territorial disputes between China and some ASEAN countries from 2010 to present is a highly topical issue.
