- First, the thesis provides an overview of the relationship between Norway and the European Union in several prominent areas that are Norway's strengths, as well as the history of the relationship between these two entities from the past to the present. Based on this foundation, the thesis identifies the unique characteristics of the relationship between Norway and the European Union, which explain why Norway has chosen to remain outside the larger European bloc to this day.

- Next, the thesis will present the advantages and disadvantages that still exist in the relationship between Norway and the European Union. These are the factors that either promote or may hinder the relationship between these two entities.

- Finally, drawing from the Norway-European Union relationship model, this thesis hopes to find some suggestions for Vietnam in its relations with other major actors on the international stage.

- Firstly, thesis generalize the relationship between Norway and the European Union on a number of outstanding areas and the strength of Norway as well as the history of relations of two subjects from histoty until now. From this basic, the thesis gives special characteristics of the realationship between Norway and the European Union, these characteristics will explain why until today Norwegian national selection remains outside the European Union.

- Secondly, thesis will offer advantages and difficulties exist in relations between Norway and the European Union. Those are factors that could help to strengthen or hinder the relationship between the two subjects of international relations.

- Finally, from the relational model between Norway and the European Union, thesis hopes to find some off suggestions for Vietnam in relationship with other major actors in the international relations.
