- To address the issues raised, the thesis successively clarifies the theoretical foundations related to Southern Vietnamese folk music; studies the application of experiences in integrating culture and art into tourism development in Vietnam and some countries around the world; refers to research works on folk music by previous authors, and research topics on culture and art, considering them as important foundations, opinions, and experiences in preserving and promoting the traditional values ​​of Southern Vietnamese folk music.

- To affirm the potential of Southern Vietnamese folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu), this thesis delves into introducing the origins, names, and cultural and artistic values ​​of Don Ca Tai Tu. To gain a comprehensive understanding of Don Ca Tai Tu, the thesis analyzes and evaluates the advantages and disadvantages in preserving and promoting the traditional values ​​of this art form. This is achieved through statistical methods, data collection and processing, and field surveys from government agencies, tourism businesses, tourists, local authorities, and residents. The results then present findings on the organization, preservation, and development of Don Ca Tai Tu in several localities in the Mekong Delta region, and the application of Don Ca Tai Tu in tourism activities to promote, introduce, and attract tourists to the area, contributing to the region's economic development.

Based on the results of practical surveys, the conditions and development orientations of tourism by the State and local authorities, combined with theoretical foundations, this thesis proposes 8 appropriate solutions to contribute to the integration of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu) into tourism development in the Southern provinces and cities of Vietnam, as follows:

+ Research and evaluate the effectiveness of exploiting the values ​​of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (đờn ca tài tử) to serve tourism development.

+ Identify the reasons for the successes and failures in exploiting traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music for tourism development.

+ Invest in building facilities and technical infrastructure at venues where traditional Vietnamese folk music is performed to serve tourism.

+ Training human resources to serve tourism development

+ Research and develop melodies and content of musical pieces associated with the preservation, exploitation, and development of the traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music genre.

+ Develop unique cultural tourism products based on traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.

+ Intensify promotional and marketing activities for cultural tourism associated with destinations featuring traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performances.

+ Organize and coordinate activities among agencies in the culture and tourism sector in exploiting traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.

The research findings of this thesis will serve as material for research topics on preserving and promoting the cultural and artistic values ​​of Southern Vietnamese folk music, and at the same time contribute to improving the effectiveness of exploiting the artistic values ​​of Southern Vietnamese folk music in tourism development.

11. A summary of the results of the thesis:

- To solve the suggested problem, thesis elucidate the basic theories related to the Southern traditional folk music; applied research lessons in order to bring art and culture to serve for the development of tourism of the country and some other countries in the world; refer to the studies of traditional music of the previous authors, the research on culture, art, whether it is the foundation, opinions and important experience in the conservation and promotion for the traditional art values ​​of traditional folk music in the South.

- To define the potential of art from the South, the thesis deeply figures out the introduction of origin, the name, the value of culture, art of traditional folk music of Vietnam. For an overview of traditional music, thesis analyze, evaluate the benefits and difficulties in preserving and promoting the traditional values ​​of traditional music of the South, through the use of statistical methods, collecting and processing of documents, data and making survey of the state agencies, the business tourism, tourists, residents and local government. Since then the thesis exposes the results of the organization, preservation and development of traditional music in a number of localities in the Mekong Delta, the application of traditional music in tourism activities aims to advocate, referrals and attract tourists to a region, contributing to the economic development of the region.

- Based on the practical survey results, conditions and tourism-oriented development of the State and local levels of government combined with the basis theory, the thesis has proposed 08 appropriate measures to contribute to traditional music in service of tourism development in the southern provinces - Vietnam as follows:

+ Research, evaluate the effectiveness of exploiting the value of traditional music to serve for tourism development

+ Find out the reason of achievements while exploiting the traditional music which serves for tourism development

+ Invest in the infrastructure construction, technical infrastructure at the location for performing traditional music

+ Train of human resources serving for tourism development

+ Research and development of the tunes and content of all the songs which linked to the conservation, exploitation and development of traditional music art

+ Develop cultural tourism products specifying on traditional music

+ Promote advocacy advertising and promotion of cultural tourism destinations associated with traditional music organization

+ Links Organization, coordination among agencies in the culture and tourism operators in traditional music

The results of the thesis are used as the materials for researching and promoting conservation of cultural and artistic values ​​of the Southern traditional music, while it contributes to improve efficiency in the exploitation of the artistic value of traditional music in South tourism development.
