- First, the thesis"The US strategic adjustment in the Asia-Pacific under Obama"This study has generally analyzed the subjective and objective factors that directly and indirectly influenced the adjustment of the US Asia-Pacific strategy under President Barack Obama.
Secondly, the thesis presented the strategic objectives and detailed measures for implementing the US Asia-Pacific strategy in the areas of security-military, economic, and diplomatic affairs.
- Thirdly, based on the objectives set by the US in its Asia-Pacific strategy, the thesis provides an assessment of the strategy's results across all areas, from security and military to economics and diplomacy, to show the extent to which the US has achieved this strategy.
Fourth, the US strategy towards the Asia-Pacific region is not just a story between the world's number one superpower – the US – and the Asia-Pacific region, but also has a tremendous impact on the entire world in general and Southeast Asia in particular, including Vietnam. Therefore, this thesis offers several policy implications for Vietnam to ensure national security, maintain national sovereignty, and achieve sustainable economic development.
