10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis focuses on research and gives some basic results as follows:
Chapter 1 of the thesis systematizes theoretical issues on messages in press photos. The author used the method of research and document analysis to provide the most basic concepts of messages, messages in press photos, ... as well as to generalize the role and importance of press photos for the development of the press. At the same time, it provides general criteria on the content and form of expression of press photos, requirements on how to use press photos in print and electronic newspapers.
In chapter 2, the author used statistical methods and text analysis to generalize the current status of message transmission through press photos in Tuoi Tre newspaper. Accordingly, the thesis surveyed 1,500 electronic articles and 51 printed press works published in Tuoi Tre newspaper with the categories of News, Reportage, Reflection and Photo Reportage, Photo News, providing survey data of scientific value to evaluate the most objectively the content as well as the form of photo messages.
In Chapter 3 of the thesis, the author pointed out some existing problems about press photos in Vietnamese press in general and Tuoi Tre newspaper in particular, and proposed solutions to improve the quality of press photos in Tuoi Tre newspaper.
11. Practical application:
Supplementing scientific information on visual communication activities on Tuoi Tre electronic newspaper.
Point out the existing problems and limitations of the press light on Tuoi Tre electronic newspaper, from which propose solutions and recommendations to the Editorial Board to improve the quality of press photos.
In addition, the thesis also provides research and teaching materials for journalism and communication on related issues.
