10. Summary of the thesis results:
Currently, the number of foreigners coming to Vietnam to work and live is increasing, therefore, their need to learn Vietnamese is also growing.
During the process of foreigners learning Vietnamese, when using various textbooks, they will encounter proverbs and idioms. In this teaching and learning process, the teacher plays a crucial role in helping students understand and apply the target language, which in this case is Vietnamese. Therefore, when introducing idioms and proverbs to students, teachers need to invest considerable effort so that students can correctly understand their content and meaning. This will enable them to understand and apply them in communication or work with Vietnamese people.
This thesis attempts to synthesize and generalize the basic issues related to idioms and proverbs, building upon the achievements of previous research on idioms and proverbs to clarify their meaning and role in communication practice. The results of this thesis contribute to supplementing the necessary knowledge for foreigners learning Vietnamese, helping them to use idioms and proverbs effectively.
11. Practical applications:
Based on surveys and research into fundamental issues related to idioms and proverbs, this study applies these idioms and proverbs currently taught in Vietnamese textbooks for foreigners to practical situations, addressing the growing number of foreigners learning Vietnamese.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
At present, the number of foreigners, who come to Vietnam to work and live, are increasing, so their demand for Vietnamese language education is increasing as well.
In the process of studying Vietnamese, foreigners will encounter a few proverbs, idioms when using textbooks. But at the same time, teachers are important contributors, who help students to understand and use the target language (in this case is Vietnamese); Therefore, when introducing idioms, proverbs to students, it requires teachers to invest a lot of effort in preparing their teaching plan so students can easily understand the content and meaning of them, and then understand how to use them in communicating with Vietnamese people.
The thesis tries to synthesize and generalize the basic issues related to idioms, proverbs, success stories of previous idioms and proverbs to clarify meaning, role of idioms, proverbs in communication practice. The results of the thesis will contribute to the knowledge needed for foreigners, who is learning Vietnamese, so they can use idioms and proverbs to succeed good results.

Applying proverbs and idioms, which are taught in Vietnamese language study programs for foreigners, in the real life on the basis of statistics and researches to meet the growing demand for Vietnamese language study from foreigners.
