The thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic contents:
Chapter 1. Theoretical and legal basis for sources and components of audiovisual documents submitted to provincial historical archives
In this chapter, we study and research the scientific basis for determining the source and components of audiovisual documents submitted for storage, including: clarifying the position and role of agencies that create audiovisual documents, the area of authority for storage; determining the historical value of provincial audiovisual documents; from the standards, properties, and characteristics of audiovisual documents, clarifying the criteria for determining the source and components of documents submitted for storage in provincial historical archives.
Chapter 2. Current status of audiovisual document management and document submission to the historical archives of Thua Thien Hue province.
In this chapter, we clarify the current situation of audiovisual document management in Thua Thien Hue province, focusing on surveying the current situation at: Provincial historical archives center, agencies with important positions and roles in local activities, agencies with the function of using audiovisual documents as the main activity to propose the development of criteria for determining the source and composition of audiovisual documents submitted to the provincial historical archives in chapter 3.
Chapter 3. Project on developing criteria for determining sources and components of audiovisual documents that need to be submitted to the historical archives of Thua Thien Hue province.
Based on the survey and analysis information in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, in Chapter 3, we propose a specific project in developing criteria for determining the sources and components of audiovisual documents that need to be submitted to the historical archives of Thua Thien Hue province.
11. Practical application:
The research results of the thesis are reference documents for management agencies; agencies that are sources of submitting documents to the provincial historical archives have a basis for creating, organizing management and submitting audiovisual documents in accordance with regulations.
12. Further research directions:
After completing the thesis, we will continue to research and propose to competent authorities to issue regulations and rules to properly manage audiovisual documents of Thua Thien Hue province.

This thesis consists of three chapters with the following basic content:
Chapter 1: Theoretical and legal basis about the source and composition of audiovisual records to transfer to the province's historical archives.
In this chapter, we investigate, and explore scientific basis to identify the source and composition of archived audiovisual records in which we clarify the location, the role of organizations establishing audiovisual records, areas of authorized archives, identify the historical values of the provincial audiovisual records, from standards, and characteristics to clarify the criteria to identify the source and composition of the historical archives of the province.
Chapter 2: The reality of organizing and managing of audiovisual records and the transfer of these records to Thua Thien Hue province's historical archives.
In this chapter, we clarify the reality of records management in Thua Thien Hue province organizations in which we focus on examining this practice at the Center for Historical Archives of Thua Thien Hue province as well as key of the region that has the function to utilize audiovisual records as the main activity to initiate the criteria in identifying the source and composition of audiovisual records to transfer to the Historical archives in chapter 3.
Chapter 3: The project on establishing criteria to identify the source and composition of audiovisual records to transfer to the historical archives of Thua Thien Hue province.
From the data collected and analyzed in chapters 1 and 2, in chapter 3, we propose a specific project in establishing criteria to identify the source and composition of audiovisual records to transfer to the historical archives of Thua Thien Hue province.
11. Possibility of application in practice:
The research result of this thesis is the reference for management organization, organizations belonging to the provincial source of transferring the records to the historical archives has the basis to establish, manage and submit the audiovisual records by law.
12. Further research possibilities:
After completing this thesis, we continue to research and recommend authorities to issue regulations in order to better manage audiovisual records of Thua Thien Hue province.
