The thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic contents:
Chapter 1. The Need for Optimizing Archival Collections of Defunct Agencies at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archives
This chapter serves as an introduction, laying the foundation for the main content in Chapters 2 and 3. The main focus of this chapter is to understand the necessity and practical requirements for optimizing the defunct archives at the Provincial Historical Archives. It begins by examining the current state of the defunct archives at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archives and highlighting the need for document optimization within these archives.
Chapter 2: The current state of optimizing archival collections of defunct agencies at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archives.
This chapter presents the results of a survey of the current situation and an evaluation of the achievements and completed products after reassessing the document value of several archives currently preserved at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archive: the components of files and documents, retention periods, document content, and supplementary document components (if any)... From this, the author provides some objective observations and assessments of the organization of reassessing the retention periods of archival files and documents in the archives. Simultaneously, the author delves into the advantages and disadvantages of optimizing the archives, highlighting their effectiveness; and the objective and subjective causes leading to these shortcomings and limitations. This forms the basis for the author's refinement and recommendations in Chapter 3.
Chapter 3: Solutions to improve the optimization of archival collections of defunct agencies at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archives
This is the central chapter of the thesis, summarizing the theoretical foundations in Chapter 1 and the practical situation in Chapter 2. Based on the assessments and observations from Chapter 2, the author proposes several solutions to improve the efficiency of optimizing closed archives, addressing the stated objectives, minimizing existing shortcomings and limitations, and managing and organizing the most effective exploitation of the archival documents currently preserved at the provincial historical archives.
The thesis has reflected the purpose of the topic and proposed feasible solutions that are appropriate to practice, overcoming the shortcomings and limitations in optimizing archival collections.

The research findings of this thesis serve as a reference document for state management agencies in archiving, assisting them in developing documents and policies related to optimizing and determining the value of archival documents, applying them in practice, and contributing to improving the quality of archival work in Bac Giang province in particular and the entire sector in general.
12. Future research directions:
After completing this thesis, we will continue our research and propose to the state management agency for archives (Bac Giang Provincial Department of Internal Affairs) to conduct a provincial/local-level scientific research project on optimizing the archival collection of defunct agencies at the Bac Giang Provincial Historical Archives.

This thesis consists of three chapters with the following basic content:
Chapter 1: The Need of Optimizing the Archive fonds of agency that was deactivated in Historical Archives of Bac Giang Province
This is a critical chapter, being the basis chapters 2 and chapter 3. The main content of this chapter is to understand the necessity and the requirements of reality that require Optimizing the Archive fonds of agency that was deactivated in Bac Giang Province. It is initial investigation the situation of closed archives fords has stopped working in Bac Giang's Historical Archives and giving the need to optimize the data for these fonts.
Chapter 2: The situation of Optimizing the Archive fonds of agency that was deactivated in Historical Archives of Bac Giang Province
In this chapter, we present the results of a status survey and evaluate the achieved results, the compiled product after the revalidation value of the closed fonts at Bac Giang Historical Archives: Components of records, records, retention of records, content of records, additional components (if any) ... From there, the author proposes some reviews and objective assessments about the re-organization of retention in closed archives. At the same time, the author in-depth analysis of the advantages and disadvantages optimization, indicating the efficiency; Objectively, subjective causes leading to these disadvantages. Chapter 3: Solutions to Enhance the Optimizing the Archive fonds of agency that were deactivated in Historical Archives of Bac Giang Province

Based on the reviews and comments from chapter 2, the author proposes some suggestions to improve the efficiency of Optimizing the closed- Archive fonds, addressing the set objectives, minimizing the disadvantages and managing records which are currently maintained at the historical store of the province.
The thesis has reflected the purpose of the topic, at the same time proposed solutions that are feasible, suitable with reality, overcoming the limitations and limitations in the optimization of archive fonts. .
