- The thesis is a theoretical work, looking at the satirical poetry of Tran Te Xuong from the manifestations of the East-West cultural contact or in other words, the "hybrid" nature (a concept belonging to Homi Bhabha's post-colonial theory). It includes the ideas of "otherness" (expressed through themes, topics, character systems) and "ambivalence". From there, with the above contributions, the thesis also hopes to contribute a small part to affirming the position of poet Tran Te Xuong in the national literature in the "pivotal" years between the 19th and 20th centuries.
