- This thesis is a theoretical work, examining Tran Te Xuong's satirical poetry from the perspective of East-West cultural contact, or in other words, its "hybrid" nature (a concept belonging to Homi Bhabha's postcolonial theory). This includes concepts of "the other" (expressed through themes, subjects, and character systems) and "dualism." Therefore, with these contributions, the thesis hopes to contribute a small part to affirming the position of the poet Tran Te Xuong in national literature during the "transitional" years between the 19th and 20th centuries.

- Thesis formulates the basic theoretical problems and research history of Tran Te Xuong's satirical poetry.
- The thesis, which originally recognized has Tran Te Xuong's satirical poems from the expression of East - West cultural contacts or in other words, to be hybridity (a concept in Homi Bhabha's postcolonial theory) that includes the notion of ambivalence and the others (shown by theme, topic, character system). From there, confirmed the location of Tran Te Xuong, who was a Vietnamese poet and satirist in the ethnic literature, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
