10. Summary of the thesis results:

- Adhering closely to the research axis set by the topic, and based on the theoretical foundations of journalism studies, the thesis has analyzed, synthesized, and interpreted, building a theoretical basis related to the research problem. This includes the role and relationship between Facebook and journalism, and the use of Facebook by media organizations – a common trend in the development of modern journalism.

- Based on the established theoretical framework, the thesis surveys and evaluates the current state of Facebook usage by media organizations, drawing on surveys of major media outlets such as Tuoi Tre newspaper, Vietnamnet, and Vietnam Television to identify strengths and weaknesses, particularly the causes of the weaknesses; along with surveying public feedback and conducting in-depth interviews with experts, providing a basis for proposing solutions to overcome the weaknesses.

Based on the theoretical and practical foundations studied and surveyed, this thesis offers specific proposals and recommendations for media organizations regarding the use of social media in the future. Media organizations need to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities, proactively and actively gathering information from the public on social media, verifying its accuracy, and developing useful content; enhancing the ethics, responsibility, and competence of reporters and journalists when using social media; strengthening the interactive relationship between media organizations and the public through social media; expanding the linkages between media organizations and social media; and establishing regulations on the operation of social media in general and Facebook in particular to help the press better fulfill its role and mission in addressing economic, political, cultural, and social issues in our country during the period of integration and development.

11. Practical applications:

The research findings have potential applications for media organizations in leveraging the strengths of social media for content development, communication activities, and public interaction.

12. Future research directions:

Based on the results of this study, further research directions can be developed, such as using different social media channels to increase interaction between news organizations and the public; and promoting information and images of news organizations through social media.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

- Closely following the research direction driven by the topic and from the basis of journalism, the thesis has analyzed, synthesized and interpreted and developed the theoretical basis related to the research issue, that is, the role and relationship between Facebook and the press, the use of Facebook by the press - a general trend in the development of modern press.

- Based on the theoretical basis that has been developed, the thesis has investigated and evaluated the actual use of Facebook by the press, based on surveys of major press, namely Tuoi Tre, Vietnamnet, Vietnam Television to identify the advantages and disadvantages, especially the causes of these disadvantages; making surveys of public opinions and conducting in-depth interviews of experts as a basis for proposed solutions to disadvantages.

- Based on the research rationale and practical basis, the thesis presented specific proposals and recommendations to the press in the use of social networks in the coming time. The press should perform its proper roles, responsibilities, actively collect information from the public on social networks, verify its accuracy and develop useful content; Improving the ethics, accountability, capacity of specialized reporters and journalists in communication in social networks; Promote interaction between the press and the public through social networks; Expanding the relationship of the press and social networks; Developing regulations on operation of social networks in general and Facebook in particular to help journalists better fulfill their roles and missions in economic, political, cultural and social issues in the integration and development period of our country.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

Research results are possibly applicable to the press in promoting the strengths of social networks on the development of information content and activities of communication and interaction with the public.

12. Further research directions:

From the research results, further research directions can be conducted, namely use of different channels of social media to increase interaction between the press and the public, promoting information and images of the press through the social network.
