Based on the theoretical basis of journalism, the thesis has presented a number of concepts related to the topic, as well as the viewpoints of the Party, the State and the responsibility of the press on the issue of protecting national security in the current situation, and at the same time provided criteria to evaluate the quality of the article.

Based on the theoretical issues that have been developed, the thesis has surveyed and evaluated the current status of propaganda on the issue of protecting national security in the newspapers of People's Police, Capital Security, and Ho Chi Minh City Police. Thereby, it points out the successes, limitations and finds out the causes of those successes and limitations.

Based on the theoretical and practical basis that has been researched and surveyed, the thesis offers specific solutions and recommendations, contributing to strengthening and further promoting the role of the press in propagating the issue of protecting national security, especially the current printed press of the Public Security sector.

The thesis helps press agencies, reporters and journalists have new and more profound propaganda strategies on the issue of protecting national security in the current situation.

The thesis analyzed and evaluated the status of propaganda on National Security in Public Police, Capital Security and Ho Chi Minh Police's newspapers today, thus showing success, restriction and their root causes.

Based on the reality, the thesis gives out solutions and suggestions, enforcing the role of journal in propagandizing the National Security matters, especially newspapers of Public Police today.
