On January 11-12, 2025, the Admissions Consulting Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities led by Vice President, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong worked at the 2025 Admissions Consulting - Career Guidance event series in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

The consulting booth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) attracted the attention of thousands of candidates at the 2025 Admissions and Career Counseling Program at Vinh University - Vinh City, Nghe An; Hong Duc University - Thanh Hoa City on January 11-12, 2025.

Sectors such as education, culture, media, environment and community services have great potential to develop innovative social entrepreneurship projects that bring social and economic value.

That is the affirmation of experts and managers attending the scientific discussion with the theme: "Challenges of social innovation in the current context and startup opportunities for students of Social Sciences and Humanities" chaired by the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on January 8, 2025. At this event, there was also a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between IPAM and a number of technology partners to create a network to support creative student startups.

On January 2, 2025, the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and developing and deploying the Project on streamlining the organizational structure of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) issued Notice No. 05/TB-XHNV - Orientation plan of the USSH Steering Committee on streamlining the organizational structure of the USSH. This is considered an important step in the effort to improve the management and operation efficiency of the University in order to comprehensively innovate to continue the development of the University in the direction of an advanced research university, affirming its professional reputation, and enhancing its position domestically and internationally.

On January 2, 2025, on the first day back to work after the New Year holiday, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Hanoi signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

Students experienced many cultural aspects of Vietnam and other countries in the International Students New Year Festival 2025 organized by VNU on December 27, 2024.

One VNU is a VNU - USSH student support management system designed to run on a mobile platform, suitable for popular operating systems such as IOS and Android.

On the morning of December 30, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held the opening ceremony of a training course with the theme "Breakthrough with GEN AI in teaching and research". The course aims to equip lecturers with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply generative artificial intelligence (GEN AI) in the teaching and scientific research process.

SVVN - Le Thi Nhu Huong (born in 2004) is a third-year student majoring in Journalism, Institute of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH). From a provincial girl with many ambitions, Nhu Huong boldly went to the capital to pursue her passion, overcoming many challenges to achieve outstanding academic achievements. Behind those successes are the constant love and encouragement from her hometown, family and loved ones, helping her to break through and develop her own talents.

After 2 weeks of experiencing learning activities, practical activities and exploring Vietnamese culture and landmarks with lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the students of the 2024 Training Course on Vietnamese Language Teaching Methods for Overseas Vietnamese Teachers were able to cultivate more love for their mother tongue, thereby spreading Vietnamese to countries around the world.

On December 27, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) made an important mark in digital teaching when it officially accepted and put into use the MOOCs electronic lecture with the Basic Informatics course. This is a strategic step to modernize education, enhance learning experiences and equip students with the necessary knowledge and technology skills in the digital age.

That is the information shared at the scientific workshop "Getting opinions on the scientific content of the draft of the Ninh Thuan Geographical Project" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Thuan province on December 25, 2024 in Hanoi.

The international scientific conference “Research and teaching Vietnamese studies and Vietnamese language in a cross-cultural context” jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM on the morning of December 21, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City attracted the participation of many prestigious domestic and international scientists.
