[Announcement No. 14] VNU students return to in-person classes from March 15th.

With the current situation of good disease control, Vietnam National University, Hanoi will closely follow the practical context of Hanoi and may allow undergraduate and postgraduate students to return to in-person classes from March 15, 2021.
Over the past period, thanks to the decisive and effective involvement of the entire political system and society, the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam in general, and Hanoi in particular, has been basically brought under control. Based on the directives of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the City of Hanoi, and on the basis of the actual situation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) proposes that its units continue to implement the following:

1. Prepare and ensure all necessary conditions for COVID-19 prevention and control are met according to regulations, and inform students and postgraduate students (collectively referred to as students) to return to in-person classes from Monday, March 15, 2021.

2. Continue to vigorously implement directives from higher authorities and the Ministry of Health's "5K" guidelines on COVID-19 prevention and control. Promptly review and compile statistics on the number of students traveling to and from areas with outbreaks (especially in areas currently under lockdown, quarantine, and social distancing measures) in order to...Encourage, guide, requestStudents are required to declare their health status, undergo testing, and self-isolate (if necessary) in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Appropriate measures should also be taken to support students' effective and high-quality learning while ensuring overall safety. For issues related to professional aspects of epidemic prevention and control, units are requested to proactively contact the Vietnam National University Hospital (via Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Hoang Ha - Director, Phone: 0913 269488 or Dr. Nguyen Quang Tam, Phone: 0973 778686) for guidance and support.

3. Continue to suspend activities and events involving large gatherings, sightseeing, and excursions unless absolutely necessary. Important events, conferences, and seminars, when organized, must ensure compliance with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations: temperature checks, mask-wearing, social distancing, and the availability of hand sanitizer. The implementation of appropriate and effective online working methods is encouraged.

4. Request to all staff, faculty, scientists, and students:Strictly enforce the nationwide health declaration requirement.In accordance with regulations. Individuals will be held legally responsible if they fail to voluntarily declare their health status or provide false information. This includes cases of individuals who have traveled to or returned from epidemic areas (as updated at this address).https://ncov.moh.gov.vn/) needs to notify the unit's permanent disease prevention and control department, local health authorities, and coordinate with the Vietnam National University Hospital and relevant departments to immediately implement Covid-19 prevention and control measures as prescribed.

5. Other matters will continue to be implemented according to Official Letter No. 506/ĐHQGHN-CT&CTHSSV dated February 26, 2021, from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

We request that heads of units pay attention to and direct the implementation of the above contents.

Vietnam National University, Hanoi will closely monitor the developments of the epidemic situation to provide timely and appropriate guidance.
