The study discussed several theoretical issues regarding psychological difficulties related to parental control worldwide and domestically; methods of support for psychological difficulties; CBT therapy theory in therapeutic application; and conducting a psychological assessment for an adolescent client.
For the intervention phase, the trainees applied CBT theory in case formulation, developed intervention plans, and used various techniques to support the adolescents. After a period of time, they achieved certain successes. The most effective were the application of relaxation techniques and psychoeducation techniques to improve quality of life. Modeling and social skills training helped adolescents learn to control their emotions, thereby reducing negative behaviors. Cognitive restructuring techniques helped adolescents form new, more adaptive thought patterns. In addition, to effectively and sustainably support adolescents in improving their psychological difficulties, regular collaboration with parents is essential throughout the support process to achieve the best results for the clinical case.
