10. Summary of project results:
Patients with kidney disease may experience mental health problems such as anxiety and sleep disorders due to declining physical health, work, family, and social life. This clinical study was conducted to explore the effectiveness of CBT therapy in psychological intervention for patients with kidney disease. The study participants were male subjects diagnosed with left renal atrophy. The subjects underwent clinical psychological evaluation, revealing symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety about their illness. Following the evaluation phase, the subjects received CBT therapy in two phases: inpatient and outpatient treatment, comprising 14 outpatient sessions. The results after the intervention showed a reduction in panic attack symptoms and anxiety about the illness.
11. Practical applications:The project provides empirical evidence showing that CBT therapy is effective in reducing symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety related to the illness. Techniques such as exposure and cognitive restructuring are appropriate for application in this case.
12. Future research directions:
Based on the case presented in the project, the author proposes further research into the current state of mental health in patients with kidney disease using a larger sample group and the development of work procedures at healthcare facilities to mitigate risk factors that negatively impact patients' mental health.

10. Summary of the findings of the project:
Patients with kidney disease may experience mental health issues such as anxiety and sleep disorders due to the decline in physical health, work demands, and family and social life challenges. This clinical study aims to explore the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in psychological intervention for patients with kidney disease. The participant in the study was a male client diagnosed with left kidney atrophy. Clinical psychological assessment revealed symptoms of panic attacks and illness anxiety. Following the assessment phase, the client undergoes CBT intervention, which includes both inpatient and outpatient treatment stages, with 14 outpatient sessions. Post-intervention results indicate a significant reduction in symptoms of panic and illness anxiety.
11. Practical applicability:
The project provides empirical evidence demonstrating that CBT is effective in reducing symptoms of panic attacks and illness anxiety. Techniques such as exposure and cognitive restructuring are suitable for application in this case.
12. Further research directions:
From the case presented in the project, the author recommends conducting studies on the mental health status of patients with kidney disease in larger sample groups and developing protocols within healthcare facilities to mitigate risk factors that may harm the patients' mental health.
