10. Summary of the thesis results:
This study was conducted on 260 high school students in two provinces/cities, Hanoi and Vinh Phuc, to investigate the relationship between future orientation and identity among high school students. We used two main scales for the survey: the Future Orientation Questionnaire (Seginer, 2009); and the Identity Scale (Rosenthal et al, 1981). The research results indicate that regarding future orientation, among the three areas studied—career orientation, academic orientation, and family orientation—academic orientation was rated highest. Analysis of demographic differences shows that males tend to place more emphasis on family orientation than females. Furthermore, students in Vinh Phuc tend to focus more on academics than students in Hanoi. Regarding identity, students rated personal identity relatively highly, with differences based on place of residence, indicating that students in Vinh Phuc have a more developed personal identity compared to students in Hanoi. Regarding the relationship between future orientation and identity, a strong correlation was found between career orientation and identity, while family orientation had a weaker correlation. The study also showed the influence of identity on future orientation across three aspects: career, family, and education.
Overall, the research results have shown a relationship between future orientation and identity of high school students and provide a basis for our recommendations to individuals, families, and educational institutions.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The research was actioned on 260 high-school students in two provinces (Hanoi and Vinh Phuc) to explore the relationship between future orientation and identity among high school students. Two main scales were used for the survey: the Future Orientation Questionnaire (Seginer, 2009) and The Identity Scale (Rosenthal et al., 1981). Results show that, regarding future orientation, academic orientation was rated the highest among the three domains studied: career, education, and family. Demographic analysis revealed that males focused to focus more on family orientation compared to females. Additionally, students from Vinh Phuc focused to focus more on education than those from Hanoi. Regarding identity, students reported a relatively high level of personal identity development, with differences based on location, indicating that students from Vinh Phuc had a higher level of personal identity development than those from Hanoi. Regarding the relationship between future orientation and identity, a strong correlation was found between career orientation and identity, while family orientation had a weaker correlation with identity. The study also shows that identity influences future orientation in three aspects: career, family, and education.
Overall, the research results have revealed the relationship between future orientation and identity among high school students, providing a basis for us to offer recommendations for individuals, families, and educational institutions.
