Depression is one of the most common mental disorders and a leading cause of disease burden globally. This research project on the effectiveness of CBT in intervening in a case exhibiting symptoms of depression presents an overview of studies demonstrating the effectiveness of CBT in treating depression, and implements intervention in a clinical case. The client showed positive responses, with depressive symptoms gradually decreasing. Furthermore, the client learned to apply CBT techniques to daily life, which helped them develop skills to cope with stressful situations in the future after the intervention ended.
