Through a survey of Nhan Dan, Thanh Nien, Tuoi Tre, Nghe An, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa newspapers and Vietnam Sea Magazine, it can be seen that newspapers and magazines have widely and accurately disseminated the Party and State's policies and guidelines on developing the Central region's marine and island economy into daily life; fully reflecting the current situation of the Central region's marine and island economic development, helping management agencies have a comprehensive view of the region's marine and island economic picture, thereby proposing appropriate policies; proposing many practical solutions to promote the development of the Central region's marine and island economy; Discovering effective operating models in the Central region's marine and island economic sectors and occupations, thereby reflecting them in newspapers for other places to learn and replicate.

Newspapers have set the agenda for the public through events and issues that have a great influence on the economic development of the Central region's islands. That is, before major events and issues, newspapers and journalists often make plans to determine the level of information, whether to report many articles to attract public attention or not. Through the survey, it can be seen that many events and issues are reported by newspapers in many articles and many installments, attracting the attention of a large number of readers.

The criticality of Thanh Nien and Tuoi Tre newspapers is very high. Meanwhile, the criticality of Nhan Dan, Nghe An, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa newspapers and Vietnam Sea Magazine is low. In other words, Thanh Nien and Tuoi Tre do not stop at the issue of propagating policies, not only pointing out the advantages but also "attacking" the shortcomings, pointing out the existence and negativity in a much more decisive and strong manner than the other newspapers and magazines.

The information provided in Thanh Nien and Tuoi Tre newspapers about the development of the Central region’s marine economy is also much higher than that in Nhan Dan, Nghe An, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Vietnam Sea Magazine. In other words, the information needed for businesses, units and individuals in Thanh Nien and Tuoi Tre is more. Meanwhile, the remaining newspapers and magazines focus more on propaganda, that is, providing information that the press agency needs.

Through a survey of 6 newspapers and a magazine, conducting in-depth interviews with managers of press agencies and journalists, the author of the thesis pointed out the successes, limitations as well as proposed solutions to further promote the role of the press in the economic development of the Central region's islands.
