10. Summary of the thesis results:

In this thesis, we survey and evaluate research on the Vietnamese language and Vietnamese linguistics published in journals.Nam PhongWe conducted this survey to contribute to understanding the formation and development of Vietnamese linguistics during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a very important period in the formation and development of Vietnamese linguistics. The surveys in this thesis reveal several points that can be considered concluding observations as follows:

10.1. Nam Phong is a forum for debate and expressing attitudes on many issues, especially essays and discussions on national literature, dialects, the use of the Vietnamese language, a comparison of Vietnamese and French languages, and attitudes towards Western and Confucian education.

10.2. The issue of national literature and language is the most discussed and debated topic. This includes research papers on the Vietnamese language in general through specific periods and dynasties. Besides studying the Vietnamese language, the authors also explore the relationship between the Vietnamese language and writing systems, and the Vietnamese language in its function and in the creation of texts.

10.3. Nam Phong magazine proposed the compilation of an explanatory Vietnamese dictionary, pioneering discussions on the theory and methodology of compiling explanatory dictionaries. The guiding ideas and some methods and approaches proposed in this article remain relevant to this day.

11. Practical applications: (if any)

We hope that the research findings of this thesis will contribute, to some extent, to the study of the formation and development of Vietnamese linguistics in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

12. Future research directions: (if any)

Furthermore, we hope to be able to continue comparative research on the formation of national languages ​​and national scripts in East Asian and Southeast Asian countries during the modern period in general.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

In this thesis we are going to examine, evaluate studies of Vietnamese language and Vietnamese linguistics published in the journal Nam Phong. We conducted surveys above problem is to contribute to understanding the formation and development of Vietnamese linguistics during the late nineteenth century - early twentieth century, a very important phase of the process and development of Vietnamese language linguistics. The survey in this thesis we show that a number of points can be considered as concluding remarks as follows:

11.1. Nam Phong is a forum for debate, expressed on many issues, especially the discussion national language, dialectology, the use of Vietnamese language, Vietnamese language to compare French and attitudes towards Western education and Confucianism.

11.2. The national language as the content is concerned, most discussed. It is the study of Vietnamese in general over the period, the particular dynasty. Besides Vietnamese studies, the authors go on to learn Vietnamese relationship with texts, Vietnamese in ministry and create documents.

11.3. Nam Phong suggested compiling Vietnamese dictionary, a pioneer in the discussion of theory and methods of compiling dictionaries. The idea of ​​orientation, a number of methods and ways to implement proposed in this article so far remains the same

We hope the findings of the thesis will contribute less to the study of the formation and development of Vietnamese linguistics in the late nineteenth century - beginning of XX century
