10. Summary of the thesis results: Through the survey of 82 polysemous expressions including words, phrases and utterances in 10 comedy skits in a reality TV showThank God you're here., we found that:
- In general, polysemy is one of the important factors that form inference. In polysemous expressions, inference includes the following 7 characteristics:associative, disintegrative, motivated, negative information, homogeneous, baselessandcontradiction in acquisition
- Inferences are formed through two paths:Direct limits can be generated in thinking from an expression Xandindirectly limits the context that can be generated in thinking from expression X.
- Because linguistic expressions have polysemy, to interpret them, listeners need to resort to reasoning based on personal experience and social psychology (inference). This process can develop the conversation in a positive or negative direction. To move towards a successful communication, inference can be applied with two strategies:deny the implicationorform inferences from common sense.

- It is no doubt that the polysemy is one of the most important factors that forms the deductions. In the polysemous expressions, the deductions prove their ardent vitality. The dedution's features are also expressed abundantly and variously. Those ones areimploded contiguity, decay, motivation, extremism, uniformity of things' nature, lack of basis and contradiction in comprehension.
- The deductions are formed through two methods:Directly limiting contexts that can be generated in thought from an X expressionandindirectly limiting that contexts can be generated in thought from a X expression.
- To create a successful conversation, we can use deduction with two strategies:denying or fixing the deduction through topos.
