10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis has researched and synthesized the theoretical basis, legal regulations, and experience of archival work in general, and the work of collecting and supplementing documents in several countries around the world, especially Vietnam in particular. Based on this, the author draws lessons learned that can be applied to the work of collecting archival documents, making reasonable choices and creatively applying them to the actual circumstances of the Lao Archives sector. The author has surveyed the current state of document collection and supplementation at the Archives of the Lao National Archives Department and the National Archives Center III of Vietnam as a point of comparison, thereby proposing several feasible solutions, suggestions, and recommendations for building, guiding, and organizing the implementation of archival document collection at the Lao National Archives Department.

Chapter 1. Theoretical basis and legal regulations on the collection and supplementation of archival documents.

In Chapter 1, the author systematically examined the theoretical issues and legal regulations of several countries regarding the collection and supplementation of documents in archives, particularly Vietnam, in order to select and apply those experiences to the practical work of collecting and supplementing archival documents in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The research results will serve as a basis for us to advise the National Archives of the Lao People's Democratic Republic upon our return to Vietnam on the development and issuance of documents and regulations guiding the collection of archival documents.

Chapter 2. Current Status of Document Collection into Archives of the National Archives of Laos

Chapter 2 examines the situation regarding document collection at the National Archives of Laos (National Archives of Laos), conducting on-site surveys at several ministries in Laos. The focus is on the collection process, the quantity and composition of files, the quality of files collected at the Archives, and the advantages and difficulties encountered during the collection process.

Chapter 3. Solutions for collecting documents into the Archives of the National Archives of Laos

Chapter 3 studies and proposes solutions for the effective and feasible collection of archival documents for the Lao National Archives, offering recommendations, selections, and appropriate applications of Vietnamese experiences to the specific conditions of Laos.

11. Practical applications:

The research results will serve as a basis for us to advise the National Archives of the Lao People's Democratic Republic upon our return to Vietnam on the development and issuance of documents and regulations guiding the collection of archival materials. They will also serve as reference materials for the study and research of students and researchers specializing in archival work in the Lao People's Democratic Republic in general, and the National Archives of Laos in particular.

12. Future research directions:

Continue to study and research the legal regulations of countries around the world to advise the Lao National Archives Department on the development and issuance of documents and guidelines on archival work in general and the collection and supplementation of documents in particular.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

The thesis has studied and generalized theoretical basis, legal mechanisms and experience of the archival storage work in general, document collection and supplementation of some countries in the world in particular, especially Vietnam. On such basis, the author has drawn several experience lessons to apply to the archival storage work, select properly and apply creatively to the real situation of the archive sector of Laos. The author has evaluated the actual status of the document collection and supplement to the Archival Storage under the Lao National Archives Department and III National Archives Center of Vietnam to consider it as the comparable subject, based on that, suggested a number of feasible solutions, proposals and recommendations in order to build, direct and organize the implementation of archives collection at the Lao National Archives Department.

Chapter 1: The theoretical basis; legal mechanisms on the archive collection and supplementation

In the chapter 1, the author has systemized the theoretical basis, legal mechanisms of some countries on the document collection and supplementation in to the archives, especially in Vietnam, to select and apply such experience to the archive collection and supplementation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The research findings are foundations for us to give advises to the Archives Department of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in establishing and issuing documents and regulations guiding the archives collection.

Chapter 2: The actual situation of document collection into the archival storage under the Lao National Archives Department.

In the chapter 2, the author has evaluated the situation of document collection into the Archival Storage under the Lao National Archives Department (The Central Archival Storage), evaluated the situation in the Ministerial agencies of Laos, in which focusing on the process of collecting quantity, document components, document quality which have been stored at the Lao National Archives Department, the advantages and disadvantages in the collection process.

Chapter 3:Solutions for collecting documents into the Archival storage under the Lao National Archives Department.

In chapter 3, the author has studied and suggested highly effective and feasible solutions for archives collection for the Lao National Archives Department, pointing out server recommendations, options and applied appropriate experience of Vietnam to the actual condition of Laos.

11. Practical applicability:

The research findings are foundations for us to give advertisingvises to the National Archives Department of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in establishing and issuing documents and regulations guiding the archives collection. They also become the reference document for studying and research of specialized trainees and students and people in charge of archival storage work in the Lao People's Democratic Republic in general and Lao National Archives Department in particular.

Continue discovering and studying legal mechanisms of countries in the world to give advises to the Lao National Archives Department in establishing and issuing documents and regulations guiding the archival storage work in general and the document collection and supplementation in particular.
