Using mind maps in creating television works is an urgent topic in the context of fierce competition between media types. Television creative activities in general, and creativity in expressing television works in particular, are constantly facing the pressure of innovation. There have been many separate research works on mind maps and the television creative process, however, no research work has specifically mentioned how these two concepts are related to each other. From the research object of using mind maps in television creative works, the author has coordinated with television crews of Vietnam Television, the National Assembly Television Channel of the Voice of Vietnam and Ha Tinh Radio and Television to conduct experiments from January 2015 to April 2016. Based on the general theory of television journalism, the author has used specific research methods to carry out the thesis. Thereby, proposing scientific solutions for the use of mind maps in creating television works to develop in accordance with the modern media context and the working process of television reporters. The thesis has theoretical and creative reference value in the practical activities of the television sector in general and local television in particular.
In addition to the Introduction, Conclusion, References, and Appendix, the Thesis consists of 3 chapters. Specifically as follows:
Chapter 1: Mind mapping method and application in television journalism. In this chapter, the author has systematized the basic theories of the mind map method, the process of creating television journalism works and the effectiveness of mind maps when applied to the creation of television works. From the concept of what the mind map method is and affirming its effectiveness in many industries and fields in the world, the author has compared it with the production process of a television work to see the fundamental benefits of using mind maps in the creation of television works. This is an important theoretical framework for the author to conduct experiments on the application of mind maps in the creation of television works in chapter 2.
Chapter 2: Experimenting with the mind map method in the television production process. In this chapter,Based on the knowledge of primary and secondary documents to build a theoretical framework, the author of the thesis focused on highlighting issues related to the experiment in applying mind maps to create television works. Through the introduction of the experimental model, analyzing the process of implementing the application of mind maps in creating television works and the results showed the effectiveness and superiority when comparing the application of mind maps and not applying it in the implementation and implementation process from reality. This is an important basis for the author to propose solutions and improve the effectiveness of television journalism using the mind map method.
Chapter 3:Improving the effectiveness of television journalism work by using mind maps. In this chapter, after specifically studying the experiments of using mind maps in creating television journalism works of the target groups of the central, local, and National Assembly television stations, the author of the thesis has drawn many valuable experiences from the experimental process of the teams that regularly implement and implement for the first time. At the same time, the author also boldly proposes specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of television journalism work by using the mind map method.
11. Practical applicability:
Choosing and starting to research the topic of using mind maps in creating television works is really a matter of concern in today's journalistic life. With research results derived from theory and practice, the topic will be a useful reference for reporters who have, are and will intend to use mind maps in creating television works. It is not only meaningful in helping to recognize the advantages and limitations, but importantly through experimental research, surveys, and interviews, thereby having a comprehensive view, contributing to improving the quality of creating television works with new methods.
12. Further research directions:
The thesis topic suggests new approaches and many in-depth research directions on the use of mind maps in creating television works. With this topic, the author wishes to contribute to bringing to everyone, especially colleagues in the television industry, theoretical and practical knowledge, more specifically about mind maps. From there, it can be applied to work to improve the creative capacity of reporters and the quality of television programs, serving effective propaganda work at television stations.
13. Published works related to the thesis: None

10. A summary of the thesis results:
Using the mind maps to create TV workisan urgent subject in the context of fierce competition between media types. Creativity of TV activities in general, creativity of expressing television works in particular are often faced with renewed pressure. There have been many individual studies of mind map and television creative process, but the study of two concepts are involved with each other, then there is no research that refers specifically. The object of study is using mind maps to create works in television, the author has collaborated with the TV crew such as Vietnam Television Station, Parliament's TV channel, Voice of Vietnam and Radio Broadcasting Ha Tinh conducted experiments from January 2015 to April 2016. Based on the general theory of television journalism, the authors have used the specific research methods to perform thesis. Thereby suggesting the scientific solutions to the usage of mind maps in creative television work has developed in line with the modern media context, in line with the business processes of reporters television. Thesis has valuable reference in theoretical and practical creative activity in the field of television in general and television localities in particular.
