Adolescent depression is a condition characterized by sadness, lethargy, and loss of interest in certain activities, manifested through clinical symptoms in the individual.
Research and practice results show that young people exhibiting symptoms of depression need timely assessment and intervention. The clinical case studies used to support assessment and intervention have shown many positive changes. Clients experienced a reduction in depressive symptoms, no longer engaged in self-harming behaviors, improved functional abilities, and positive development in their relationships.
In the process of treating depression, a combination and flexible application of psychological theories and techniques are necessary to provide optimal support for the client. However, a specific, clear, and detailed plan is essential to achieve effectiveness in each clinical case.
