Based on a survey of 212 children of migrant parents (average age 13.07, 49.8% female) in Thai Nguyen and Thai Binh provinces, the thesis has shown:
- Overall, children of migrant parents face a diverse range of mental health issues, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral problems, emotional problems, and peer problems, with emotional problems being the most prominent.
- There were differences in mental health issues among different sample groups based on criteria such as male/female age of children, age at which parents migrated, and educational level.
- Loneliness at school is a contributing factor to mental health problems in children whose mothers work far from home. Meanwhile, psychological recovery and awareness of social support are protective factors for children with working-age parents against mental health issues.

- Promote the monitoring and improvement of mental health support programs for children, especially those with migrant parents. Develop policies and programs for the prevention and intervention of mental health problems in children.

- Taken as a whole, children of migrant parents face various mental health problems, including attention deficit hyperactivity problems, behavioral problems, emotional problems, and problems with friends, in which the expression of emotional problems is the most prominent.;
- There is a difference in mental health problems between different sample groups in terms of the group of boys/girls, the age of the parents who migrated, and the level of education.
Loneliness at school contributes to increasing mental health problems in children whose mothers work away from home. Meanwhile, resilience and the children's perception of social support were protective factors for LBC against mental health issues.
