Summary of thesis results: Since the Doi Moi (Renovation) period, Vietnam's socio-economic life has undergone tremendous changes, including in the field of education. Alongside the noteworthy achievements, Vietnamese education today, including the general education system, is facing significant challenges. Particularly in the context of globalization, international integration, industrialization and modernization, and the development of a market economy, the "shortcomings" of educational services are becoming increasingly apparent. Therefore, it is not surprising that in recent years, many issues concerning educational services have received special attention from the public and the mass media. The research results show that public opinion is widely concerned about all aspects of educational services at the secondary school level, and this concern is shared by various social groups to varying degrees. The issue of educational service quality is always central to discussions, demonstrating that educational quality is not only a concern of professionals but also a worry for many users of this type of social service. Notably, the current decline in student morality is considered by a large number of parents to be an urgent educational problem. Meanwhile, in addition to sharing the same assessment of student morality with parents, teachers are more concerned about the professional competence, dedication to the profession, and compensation of the teaching staff. Parent-teacher meetings serve as the primary forum for exchange and discussion, shaping and expressing parents' opinions on school-related issues they consider urgent. However, about half of respondents indicated that parental opinions have no influence on the school's curriculum. Overall, the quality of education was rated as "satisfactory" by the majority of households. This reflects a low level of criticism regarding the quality of education from the public. However, this may be due to psychological factors in interactions with other individuals within the family, community, and school; and limited awareness and understanding of issues related to educational services at the secondary level. Therefore, their assessments are limited to the school where their children attend, rather than aligning with the needs and expectations set forth in the Education Law regarding the quality of education. The assessment of the effectiveness of state-provided educational services has not met the requirements of students and their families, and the recommendations made to improve the quality of education, which are considered essential and necessary by the majority of households, may explain the above reasons. This study is one of the first studies from a sociological perspective on public opinion that deeply analyzes public opinion regarding educational services at the secondary school level in a rural area today. This provides a scientific basis for formulating general education policies to promote the development of this type of social service, better meeting the needs of service users and the new demands of the country's socio-economic development. 11. Practical application: (if any) 12. Further research directions: Research on public opinion regarding the quality of higher education (case study of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences in Hanoi).

Summary of the findings of the thesis: Since the Innovation (Doi Moi), social and economic situation of our country has made great changes, including the education sector. Besides the remarkable results achieved, the Vietnamese education nowadays, including the education system is facing major challenges. In particular, in the context of globalization, international integration, industrialization and modernization, developing socialism-oriented market economy, the "defect" of education services has been clearly revealed more and more. So, it is not hard to understand, in recent years, public opinion and mass media have paid their attention on many issues of educational services. Research results show that public opinion pays extensive attention to all aspects of education services at the school levels, and all the attention of social groups with different levels, in which the issue of quality education services are the focus of the conversation, shows that the quality of education is not only the concern of the professionals but also the concern of many users of these social services. Notably, the moral deterioration of the students are now the majority of parents who believe that education is imperative. Meanwhile, besides the common points with the parents in assessing the moral deterioration of the students, teachers pay more attention to teachers in professional capacity issues, career passion and remuneration. The parent meetings are exchange "forum" and discussion to form and express public opinions of parents about school matters that they concern and consider to be urgent. However, about half of the respondents said that the opinion of the parents does not affect the school's academic program. In general, the majority of households assessed as "satisfied" of quality of education. This represents less critical attitude about the quality of education from the people. However, maybe due to psychological factors in the interactions with other individuals in the family, school and community; awareness and information capture about the problems of education services at the school level is quite limited, therefore, they can only be evaluated in a narrow range in the school that their children attend, rather than matching the needs, expectations that the goals of the quality of the education system proposed in the Education Law. Evaluation opinion of educational content and services of the Government that it did not meet the requirements of the students and families of students and make recommendations to improve the quality of education with options “essential” and “very essential” of the most of households could explain for the above reasons. This study is one of the first studies sociological perspective on public opinion in extensive analysis of public opinion on education services in secondary school in a rural area, which is the scientific basis for the formulation of education policy, to promote the development of this type of social services, to better meet the needs of service users and the new requirements of socio-economic development of the country. 11.
