Summary of the thesis results: "Poetry" and "Sending Fragrance to the Wind" are two of Xuan Dieu's most outstanding poetry collections, clearly demonstrating the poet's unique artistic style within the New Poetry movement. Studying these two collections from the perspective of verse, we will understand the characteristics of Xuan Dieu's verses, from their type to their language and rhythm. Xuan Dieu's verses are regular, with diverse and creative sentence structures. The poet flexibly uses his vocabulary, combining words in many ways to create new meanings. In addition, his rhyming, tonal coordination, and rhythmic breaks demonstrate extremely skillful artistry in harmony. These contribute to the successful expression of a distinctive "self"; a passionate and fervent desire for life; sadness, loneliness, and anxieties about life. All of this reveals a unique poetic voice with distinctive artistic innovations in verse structure, poetic imagery, and modern rhythms… a poetic style that is both traditional and modern, typical of the New Poetry movement and the modernization process of modern Vietnamese poetry. 11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Tho tho and Gui huong cho gio were two poetry collections of Xuan Dieu which show his unique style in New Poetry movement. Through studying an aspect: the verse, we will understand characteristic of Xuan Dieu's verse from type to language and tune. Xuan Dieu's verse was regular; type of sentence was diverse and creative. He used flexibly the Vietnamese vocabulary, had many modes of combining words and making new meanings. Besides, he also had mode of using rhyme, pauses, and tone for a very refined art of harmony. These things participate in showing sucessfully an ego full of character, an intense aspire to live, a sadness, an loneliness, worry about life. All show a strange tone with original art innovation, such as structure of verse, image poem, modern music... and a traditional, modern style that represents New Poetry movement and the process of Vienamese poetry modernization.
