Summary of the results of the thesis: Through the research results on the snake farming village in Vinh Son commune, Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province (1986-2008), we have drawn the following conclusions: - Vinh Son is a commune located near the center of Vinh Tuong district, with many favorable conditions such as: abundant labor, much experience in animal husbandry, infrastructure, geographical location near the district's major commercial center, Tho Tang town,... to develop the economy, especially to develop and improve the economic efficiency of snake farming. This is an important condition for economic development and contributing to improving the living standards and income of Vinh Son people. - Before 1986, snake farming was not really popular due to many difficulties, but after 1986, with the help of the Commune People's Committee, snake farming began to be widely tested and currently, the majority of households in the commune are engaged in snake farming, bringing high income, contributing to the development of the livestock industry in the whole commune, changing the face of the countryside, improving people's lives, and raising the intellectual level. - However, snake farming still faces many difficulties such as: the craft village has not been planned into a separate area, most of it is still spontaneous in households, so the environmental pollution is increasing due to waste from snake food sources, the profession is a life-and-death situation, the risk in animal husbandry is still high due to the lack of specialized medical staff, difficulties in the market, especially the consumption of snake venom products, breeders are often forced to sell snakes at low prices by traders... - The topic also provides some current situations and solutions to further develop the craft village in the future.
