By placing Pham Quynh within the socio-political context of early 20th-century Vietnam, exploring and explaining the contradictory yet unified political actions and goals of Pham Quynh, and analyzing his character through the lens of political science, this thesis has highlighted the relationship between culture and politics, the position of "Nam Phong Magazine," and the undeniable influence of the political figure Pham Quynh on social life; it also points out that "contradiction" was a common denominator among Vietnamese intellectuals in the early 20th century. The thesis also presents the results of current public reaction to assessments of Pham Quynh in the past and present, with data analyzed using a large dataset (Big Data) surveying all Vietnamese-language content on the Internet over a 19-year period, since the Internet's introduction in Vietnam in 1997. This is the first time in Vietnam that Big Data analysis has been applied to a Master's thesis in Political Science in particular, and in social sciences and humanities in general.

This thesis contributes to an assessment of Pham Quynh from a political science perspective, suggesting an approach based on the quality and context of Vietnamese intellectuals in the early 20th century. The thesis also initially tests the feasibility of applying big data analytics to research in the social sciences and humanities in Vietnam.

- A significant portion of French-language materials about Pham Quynh remain untranslated and unexploited; hopefully, this resource can be further utilized.

- Expand research towards public opinion, a practical research direction in political science.

By putting Pham Quynh in the picture of Vietnam's political environment in the beginning of the XX Century; by investigating and explaining his actions and political purposes that were conflict in consistency; by analyzing Pham Quynh through a political prism; The Thesis aims at showing the relation between Culture and Politics, the role of “Nam Phong Magazine” (Nam Phong Magazine) and the undeniable influence of Politician Pham Quynh on our society; and show that “conflict” is the common denominator of the early XX century Vietnamese intellectuals. This Thesis also provides the recent social reactions towards comments, evaluation on Pham Quynh since the previous time to recent time. The figures are analyzed based on Big Data, covering all the Vietnamese contents from all over the Internet during the last 19 years; since Internet first entered Vietnam (1997). This is the first time ever in Vietnam, a Master Thesis in politics in particular, and all Social – Sciences and Humanities in general, applying Big Data analysis into proving the listed statement.

This Master Thesis contributes an evaluation about Pham Quynh through the perspective of Political Science, suggesting an approach based on the Quality and Circumstances of the early 20th century Vietnamese intellectuals. This Thesis also initially evaluates the considerations of applying Big Data into studies on Social sciences and humanities in Vietnam.

- Part of the documents and data of Pham Quynh in French language have not been translated and studied; hopefully we can continue to exploit this materials.

- Expand the study in the direction of social opinion – a practical research in Political science.
