This thesis has contributed to the theoretical basis of spin-offs in universities, demonstrating the practical need for the formation and development of this type of business. It has surveyed and evaluated the current state of spin-offs in Vietnamese universities. Simultaneously, it proposes solutions to improve the macro and micro-level mechanisms to create incentives for the development of spin-off businesses in universities. Through the case study of the University of Natural Sciences and the Natural Sciences Limited Liability Company, the author has provided specific recommendations for the chosen case study.
11. Practical applicability: The topic is fully applicable in practice, with recommended solutions for spin-off businesses in universities in general, as well as recommendations for the case study of the University of Natural Sciences.

This thesis has added to the theoretical basis of spin-off in University, shown practical demands in the formation of this type of organization. It has also surveyed and evaluated the status of university's spin-offs in Vietnam at present, proposed institutional macro and micro solutions to create incentives for spin-off's development as well. Through the case study in Hanoi University of Science, Natural Sciences Limited Company, the writer has made specific recommendations for selected case studies.
