The family is a cell of society that plays an important role in the development of each individual as well as the whole society. Under the impact of the market economy, Vietnamese families are currently undergoing significant changes in many aspects. Among them, there are positive changes but at the same time, many social problems have arisen that negatively affect the existence and development of the family. One of them is domestic violence (DV) - a problem that is not new but is always hot, attracting the attention of many countries in the world, including Vietnam.

There have been many projects, topics, and studies of different scales that have been implemented to study domestic violence in Vietnam. The authors have contributed to providing readers with a multi-dimensional view of the current situation of domestic violence in our country through the periods. Along with that, many support models and intervention solutions have been proposed and applied to prevent domestic violence. The conclusions have also shown that preventing and resolving domestic violence is a common responsibility of individuals, departments, organizations, and the whole society. Studying and researching domestic violence from the perspective of Social Work to clarify the role of Social Workers in supporting victims of domestic violence is a new approach that the thesis aims at.

Most victims of domestic violence are women and children - vulnerable groups in the family. Therefore, within the scope of the thesis, the author only mentions the issue of domestic violence caused by the husband against the wife and learns about the support of Social Work for women who are victims of domestic violence from their husbands. From the survey results and case studies at the model "Peaceful House" - supporting women who are victims of domestic violence, the thesis has focused on clarifying the following two basic contents:

One is, from the perspective of the results of the activities of "Peaceful House", the study once again outlined the current situation of scale, structure as well as pointed out the causes and consequences of domestic violence against women that is happening today.

Two isThrough studying the support services of the model and the results of the author's direct intervention with some victims temporarily residing here, the topic has studied and pointed out the roles of Social Workers in assisting women suffering from domestic violence here.

Three isFrom the analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the role of social workers in the model, the thesis has pointed out the positive factors as well as the limitations and difficulties that still exist in the implementation of the support roles of social workers for women with domestic violence. From there, the topic has pointed out the necessary recommendations to improve the effectiveness of social workers here.

11. Practical applicability: Research results from the topic contribute to verifying and illuminating the supportive role of social workers in assisting women suffering from domestic violence in currently implemented intervention models.

12. Further research directions: The impact of domestic violence on the development of children in Vietnamese families today
