10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis examines the bilateral relationship in the field of education between Vietnam and Japan from 2002 to 2018, focusing on policies, policy implementation, and educational development at various levels: government, ministries, educational institutions (schools, centers, institutes, etc.), corporations, and companies, through the updating and synthesis of relevant information. Furthermore, by referencing endogenous and exogenous factors combined with the educational policies of both countries, the study analyzes and evaluates the educational cooperation process between the two countries and provides predictions through a systematic analysis at three levels (international system, internal politics, and individual leaders). This shows that the relationship between Vietnam and Japan is gradually developing, with each subsequent stage building upon the achievements of the previous one, resulting in many outstanding accomplishments across all fields and levels. In the future, Japan and Vietnam will continue to "join hands" to build, strengthen, and further develop a more comprehensive relationship in the field of education as well as in foreign relations, meeting the aspirations and interests of the people of both countries, for peace, cooperation, and development in the Asia-Pacific region.
However, alongside these resounding successes, Vietnam and Japan also face several challenges, particularly from Vietnam's side, such as the issue of students working part-time or unwanted labor migration. Therefore, Vietnam needs to pay due attention to and implement reforms in academics, curricula, infrastructure, and educational cooperation mechanisms. Only then can the problems in education and educational cooperation be thoroughly addressed. Educational cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in particular, and with other countries around the world in general, will bring even more benefits to our country's development as well as to the future of the world and the region in the era of globalization.
