10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis evaluates the reasons that have led to China's military reform, in which the influencing factors, both internal and external, have been mentioned. Especially in the period since the 18th Congress, with the continuous development in the fields of economy, science and technology, especially the enhanced international position and role, China's "5th generation of leaders", headed by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, have gradually prepared and implemented the process of reforming the Chinese military.
Currently, China has achieved important initial successes in the reform process. Accordingly, China has strongly reformed the leadership, command, and organizational structure of strategic-level units, initially forming a relatively complete leadership and command system. Although there are still many difficulties and complications, China has many fundamental advantages, so basically this reform of the Chinese military will be successful. In the coming time, China will step up the adjustment of military doctrine and strategy and reform the organizational structure of campaign and tactical-level units. With methodical and tight steps, from now until 2012 and the following years, the potential and strength of the Chinese military will be greatly enhanced, becoming a military force with the leading strength in the world.
Vietnam and China have many similarities, especially in politics. Therefore, this Chinese military reform program suggests many important lessons that Vietnam can apply to military and defense construction and development, building the Vietnam People's Army to be increasingly disciplined, elite, and gradually modernized, contributing effectively to the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
