Since its inception, cinema has had a history of development of more than one hundred years, with many schools and important innovative trends in the language of cinema, regulated by the development of artistic thinking and advances in science and technology. The result of each innovative trend is unique cinematic products, defining its own set of rules and filmmaking techniques. Then, in turn, those rules and techniques are broken and surpassed by the personal creative experiments of filmmakers, in accordance with the laws of constant development of human art.

In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, director Lars von Trier was a prominent phenomenon in Danish and world cinema as one of the pioneers of new filmmaking. At the same time, he initiated the movement with directors Thomas Vinterberg, Kristian Levring and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen.Dogme 95with 10 principles of avant-garde filmmaking to break away from traditional filmmaking. Lars von Trier's trilogy (Breaking the Waves, The IdiotsandDancer in the Dark) has imprinted, on the one hand, the general principles ofDogme 95,and on the other hand his unique creative style.

Through survey and analysis of the movie trilogyGolden Heart(Breaking the Waves, The Idiots, Dancer in the Dark) of Lars von Trier in terms of filmmaking style, the thesis achieved the following results:

1. Identify non-traditional cinematic aesthetics expressed through the rules ofDogme 95as the basis of Lars von Trier's creative practice.

2. Point out the characteristics of Lars von Trier's films: with the structure of a trilogy, the director focused on analyzing the nature and psychology of human beings by penetrating deep into the dark corners of the soul, forcing viewers to think about what is scary and terrible with unique, realistic images but also full of evocative and associative power thanks to the use of handheld cameras, natural light, live recording on location, emotional acting of actors, etc. In general, Lars von Trier's films are not easy to watch, even quite heavy, but it is always an unforgettable experience. The painful issues raised by the director always move viewers, make them think about something truly essential, and are conveyed in a unique, innovative cinematic language.

3. Lars von Trier's creative practice shows that although he was the one who issued the Manifesto,Dogme 95But his filmmaking does not entirely adhere to its rules, at least in the trilogy.Golden Heart: only inThe Idiotsits mark is more evident than ever. That proves Lars von Trier's "innovation" not only with traditional filmmaking models but also with the rules he initiated. It is the freedom of personal creativity that goes beyond those rigid models that is the premise for success in art.

11. Practical applicability: The research results of the thesis will be a reference for introducing the achievements of Danish cinema in particular, and Northern Europe in general - a gap in Vietnam in receiving the quintessence of world cinema.
