The results of this research have contributed to a deeper understanding of bilateral relations between neighboring countries, especially between Vietnam and Cambodia.

This research delves into the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia within the overall context of bilateral relations, not outside the multilateral aspects of the region and the international community. Within this complex interplay of relationships, there are both advantages and challenges, as well as the impacts of internal factors within both countries, as well as regional and international influences on this relationship.

Overall, the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia during this period has achieved tremendous and important progress, contributing to the cultivation and deepening of the good neighborly friendship, for the common benefit of the people of both countries. Stemming from these achievements in good relations, the internal strength of each country has been enhanced, the relationship has been strengthened, and the prestige of each country has been continuously consolidated and improved in the regional and international arena. The comprehensive relationship between the two neighboring countries, stemming from the political will of high-level leaders, has been concretized into cooperation mechanisms in all aspects: politics, diplomacy, security and defense, economics, trade, education, and social affairs.

Although positive results have been achieved, they are still not commensurate with the existing good, traditional neighborly cooperative relationship between the two brotherly countries. To further promote development, deepen the relationship, make it more substantive and effective, this study also suggests several recommendations and solutions to further enhance this relationship for the common benefit of both nations and their peoples.
