While the cultural approach has become familiar in literary studies, the geocultural-literary approach has not received much attention from scholars. Studying literature from a geocultural perspective contributes to a more diverse interdisciplinary view by placing literary works back within their context of creation. This allows us to recognize the reciprocal relationship between literary works and life, thereby gaining a more complete and comprehensive understanding of the content and artistic value of the works.

If approaching cultural study becomes familiar in literature research, geo-cultural approaching to literature has not been paid much attention by many scholars. Literature research from geological – cultural view contributes to another diversified view when we put the literature work to its creation environment to see the two way relation between the work and the life then we have a full, comprehensive view on the value of content and art of the work.

The topic on “Southern land and people in novel by Nguyen Ngoc Tufrom geological – cultural view"deeply studies the work of Nguyen Ngoc Tu from geological – cultural view on both content and artistic aspects then we can see the geological and cultural imprint of the Southern land and people in her short story.
