- Comparing literary works through cross-cultural comparison is a method of great importance in literary research. The thesis uses the method of cultural comparison, East-West literature to decode some issues of Truyen Kieu and Medieval Literature in general.

- Researching poetic characteristics in the direction of East-West comparison is one of the important contents of medieval literature research in particular and Vietnamese literature in general. The articleThe Tale of Kieu and East Asian SocietyRené Crayssac's interpretation is a novel and unique interpretation of the content and poetics of The Tale of Kieu. However, it has not yet received due attention from researchers in the history of the study of medieval literary poetics.
