  • The thesis clarified the guidelines and policies of the Vietnamese Party and State on building a socialist rule of law state regarding religion from 1994, especially the period 2004-2016, and considered it a crucial political decision in continuing to innovate religious policy in Vietnam.

  • In the process of building a rule-of-law state regarding religion in Vietnam, the development and improvement of laws on religion holds a particularly important position. This thesis clarifies this process through the analysis and evaluation of the Ordinance on Beliefs and Religions (2004) and the Law on Beliefs and Religions (2016).

  • The thesis also clarifies the significant role and importance of the rule of law in Vietnam and considers it a crucial achievement in the continued improvement of religious policy in Vietnam.

This master thesis has explained this process through analysis and evaluation of the Ordinance on Religious Beliefs (2004) and the Law on Religious Beliefs (2016).
