10. Summary of thesis results:

The thesis has researched and clarified 3 contents: The basis for the formation of Vietnam - Australia educational cooperation; Vietnam - Australia educational cooperation at all levels from 1998 to present; Evaluation of Vietnam - Australia relations in the field of education. Thereby, systematizing the educational cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Australia from 1998 to present as well as making recommendations to promote the development of the educational relationship between the two countries.

Nowadays, in addition to "official diplomatic" activities, cultural, educational and social exchange activities also play an important role in our country's foreign affairs. In particular, cooperation in the field of education has greatly contributed to improving people's knowledge and enhancing the quality of human resources, thereby contributing to promoting the country's economic and social development.

In Vietnam's educational cooperation with foreign countries, it can be seen that the relationship between Vietnam and Australia is very developed. Australia is a country with many large-scale cooperation and aid programs for Vietnamese education. Educational relations are one of the earliest established "diplomatic" channels and are of great interest to both countries. However, it was not until 1998 that this relationship really developed, with the milestone of RMIT University Vietnam, the first international university approved by the Vietnamese government, established by a prestigious Australian training institution. Since then, educational relations between the two countries have continuously developed at both state and non-state levels. Educational cooperation activities between the two countries have contributed to enhancing understanding between the two countries, improving the quality of Vietnamese human resources, education has become a service that brings in large revenue for Australia, educational cooperation is the foundation of multi-disciplinary cooperation between the two countries.

However, it can be seen that the relationship between the two countries in the field of education still has some limitations and the potential to promote the relationship in the field of education between the two countries in particular, as well as the bilateral relationship in general, is still very large. Investment projects from Australia for our country's education sector have not yet achieved the desired results. Vietnam also needs to pay more attention to strengthening the legal system on investment/aid in education to create a basis for educational cooperation activities to develop in the right direction.

Vietnam - Australia educational cooperation is a topic that has received little research attention. The author hopes that the information collected and presented systematically along with the assessments in the thesis will have reference and research value for those interested in educational cooperation in general and educational cooperation between Vietnam and Australia in particular.

11. Practical application:

All research results of the thesis can be applied in practice right from the present time. The relationship between Vietnam and Australia is presented in a complete and systematic manner, which is the basis for in-depth research on solutions and policies to promote educational cooperation between the two countries. At the same time, the assessments and recommendations that the thesis provides are all results drawn from research and practical surveys, which can be applied immediately in practice to improve the educational relationship between the two countries in particular, and improve the quality of educational cooperation in general.

12. Further research directions:

The author of the thesis stands from the perspective of an international relations researcher to evaluate the educational cooperation relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Australia. The thesis has not had the opportunity to deeply evaluate issues related to education to propose solutions to help improve the effectiveness of educational cooperation between the two countries from this perspective.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

Three contents were researched and clarified in this thesis: Basis of Cooperation in Education between Vietnam and Australia; Vietnam - Australia education cooperation on levels from 1998 to present; assess the relationship between Vietnam and Australia in the field of education. Thereby, the thesis 'author systematized education cooperation between Vietnam and Australia from 1998 to present and made recommendations to promote bilateral education cooperation.

Nowadays, besides "mainstream diplomatic" activities, exchanges of culture, education and society also play an important role in our country's foreign affairs. Especially the cooperation in the field of education has greatly contributed to improve the quality of human resources, thereby contributing to boost Vietnamese economy and society.

The education cooperation between Vietnam and Australia is well developed. Many education cooperation and aid programs at large scale came from Australia. Education relationship was one of the oldest "diplomatic" channels to be set and to be interested by both countries. However, not until 1998, this relation has really been developed with the emergence of RMIT University Vietnam, the very first international university to be approved by Vietnamese government which was established by RMIT Australia. Since then, education relations between the two countries is continuously developing on the state as well as non state levels. Education cooperation has contributed to increase understanding between the two countries, improve the quality of Vietnamese human resources, and bring huge revenue to Australia and to be the basis of cooperation in other fields.

However, this relationship still remains some limitations and the potential to promote relations in the field of education in particular, as well as bilateral relations in general is very large. The Australian educational investment projects for Vietnam have not achieved desired results. Vietnam also needs to pay more attention to strengthen the legal system on investment/ aid to education to create the basis for cooperative educational activities to be developed in the right direction.

Educational partnerships between Vietnam and Australia is a neglected topic of research, the authors hope that the information was arranged and presented in a systematic way together with the evaluation in this thesis will be a valuable reference for those who are interested in the issue of education cooperation in general and education cooperation between Vietnam and Australia in particular.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The relationship between Vietnam and Australia is shown thoroughly and scientifically, as a basis for in-depth research on solutions and policies to promote education cooperation between the two countries. Also, the assessment and recommendations the thesis made are all the results conducted from researches and field survey, which can be immediately applied in practice to improve relations between the two countries' education cooperation in particular, improve the quality of education cooperation in general.

13. Further research directions, if any:

Thesis' author stands on one's perspective of international relations research to assess the educational cooperation between the two countries Vietnam and Australia. This thesis has not been conducted in depth assessment of the educational expertise issues to propose solutions that help improve the efficiency of educational cooperation between the two countries from this perspective. So it is needed to have the further researches on the above contents.
