1) Although the number of female authors in Vietnamese medieval literature of the 18th-19th centuries was not very large, with about nine female authors, they made a significant contribution to the medieval period of Vietnamese literature. Notable female writers include: Đoàn Thị Điểm, Hồ Xuân Hương, Lê Ngọc Hân, Trương Thị Trong, Nguyễn Thị Hinh, Phạm Lam Anh, Nguyễn Trinh Thuận, Nguyễn Tĩnh Hòa, and Nguyễn Thị Nhược Bích.
2) In the works of female authors in the mid-18th-19th centuries, the focus was on themes revolving around the fate of women in Vietnamese feudal society. These themes included romantic love, the voice of women yearning for equality, individual identity, and nature, which remained a dominant theme in many works by female authors of this period.
3) The works of female authors of the 18th and 19th centuries are mainly expressed in the form of poetry, with seven-syllable poems accounting for a large proportion. They were primarily composed in Nom script.
4) Although the number of authors was small and the quantity of works was not as extensive as that of male authors in the 18th and 19th centuries, it still represented a significant development compared to the works of Vietnamese female authors in the medieval period of the 10th and 17th centuries. It was during this period of the 18th and 19th centuries, with many upheavals in Vietnamese feudal society and many changes in life and thinking, that female authors emerged who created a strong personal imprint, challenging outdated and unjust notions against Vietnamese women of that time, such as Ho Xuan Huong.
