In chapter 1 of the thesis, a number of theoretical issues related to depression were presented, such as existing studies, symptoms and criteria for diagnosing depression, approaches and psychological intervention techniques for middle-aged female patients with depression. Along with that, the thesis specifically described the methods and tools used to diagnose and psychologically assess clients with depression.
