In chapter 1 of the thesis, a number of theoretical issues related to depression were presented, such as existing studies, symptoms and criteria for diagnosing depression, approaches and psychological intervention techniques for middle-aged female patients with depression. Along with that, the thesis specifically described the methods and tools used to diagnose and psychologically assess clients with depression. In chapter 2, the author clarified the client's problems by qualitative description and quantitative assessment using tools to ensure reliability; shaping the case to view the client's problems in a multidimensional way.
