The thesis consists of 3 chapters with basic contents, including:

Chapter 1. General theory of reception and office reception work

In this chapter, the thesis clarifies the basic concepts related to reception, office reception and reception work; at the same time, analyzes the content, tasks, meaning and role of reception work; responsibilities of the reception department in agencies and organizations.

Chapter 2. Current status of reception work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

The main content of this chapter focuses on surveying and evaluating the organization and implementation of reception work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi), including basic issues such as: organizing a department with the function of advising and assisting leaders in reception work; recruiting and arranging, assigning work to specialized receptionists; regulating and implementing protocols for welcoming and receiving guests; reception protocols in meetings and events; internal reception protocols... such as creating the image of the agency; serving in the leader's office; implementing, organizing and serving meetings, conferences and seminars and reception and hospitality work. The survey results were conducted through observation, practical experience and surveying by questionnaire to ask for opinions of a number of related subjects such as students, lecturers, office staff, and department leaders.

 Chapter 3. Some solutions to improve the efficiency of reception work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.

Based on the survey and assessment of the current situation, the thesis proposes a number of solutions to contribute to improving the effectiveness of reception organization at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including: clearly defining the responsibilities of the Administration - General Department in advising and organizing the implementation of the school's reception work; arranging and training professional reception staff; issuing regulations on reception work; revising and supplementing some regulations on reception that are no longer suitable.

11. Practical application:

The topic helps the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (under Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the leaders of the Administration - General Department and agencies, units, staff and students in the School to recognize the requirements, tasks and apply measures to organize and manage reception work according to requirements.

Continue to research and propose specific measures regarding reception work at the School.

In this chapter, the master's thesis clarifies the definition related to reception work; also analyzes contents, missions and significance, role of reception work in office or organization.

Chapter 2. Actual Situation of Reception Work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities

The main content of this chapter focuses on surveying, evaluating the organization, implementing reception work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities (National University Hanoi). It includes the basic issues such as: organizing the department which has advisory function and supporting executive board in reception work; recrutiing and arranging, assigning work to responsible receptionist; Regulating and implementing the ceremony of welcoming guests, reception etiquete in conferences, events,... such as creating the image of university; serving at leaders' offices; doing, organizing and serving the meetings, conventions, conferences and reception work. Results of surveing ​​are implemented by observing, experiencing the reality and questionnaire with asking opinions of some related people (Students, lecturors, servants and leaders of offices.

Chapter 3. Some solutions for improving the effectiveness in reception work of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University

Based on survey and evaluating the actual situation, the master's thesis proposes some solutions which aim to improve the effectiveness in organizing reception work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including: clarifying the responsibility of Office for General Administration in organizing reception work at the university, arranging and training the responsible receptionist; promulgating the regulations of reception work; editing and adding some regulations about reception which are not suitable.

11. Practical applicability:

The Master's Thesis can support the executive board of University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University Hanoi), leaders of Office for General Administration and other faculties, servants, students to be aware of the requirements, missions and applying solutions and management in reception work as requirements.
