10. Summary of the thesis results:

The thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic contents:

Chapter 1. General Theory of Reception and Office Reception Work

This chapter clarifies the basic concepts related to reception, office reception, and reception work; it also analyzes the content, tasks, significance, and role of reception work; and the responsibilities of the reception department in agencies and organizations.

Chapter 2. Current Status of Reception Services at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

This chapter focuses on surveying and evaluating the organization and implementation of reception services at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (part of Vietnam National University, Hanoi), including fundamental issues such as: the organization of a department responsible for advising and assisting the leadership on reception matters; recruitment, placement, and assignment of duties to dedicated reception staff; regulations and implementation of protocols for welcoming and receiving guests; reception protocols in meetings and events; internal reception protocols… such as building the institution's image; service in the leadership's office; conducting, organizing, and serving meetings, conferences, seminars, and guest reception. The survey results were obtained through observation, practical experience, and questionnaires soliciting opinions from relevant stakeholders such as students, lecturers, office staff, and department heads.

 Chapter 3. Some solutions to improve the effectiveness of reception work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.

Based on surveys and assessments of the current situation, this thesis proposes several solutions to improve the effectiveness of reception work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including: clearly defining the responsibilities of the Administrative and General Affairs Department in advising and organizing the implementation of the university's reception work; assigning and providing professional training for dedicated reception staff; issuing regulations on reception work; and revising and supplementing some outdated reception regulations.

11. Practical applications:

This research aims to help the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ( thuộc Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the leadership of the Administrative and General Affairs Department, and other agencies, units, staff, and students within the University understand the requirements and tasks and apply organizational and management measures for reception work in accordance with the requirements.

Continue researching and proposing specific measures regarding reception services at the School.

The Master thesis includes 3 Chapters with the following:

Chapter 1. General theories of Reception and Reception Office Work

In this chapter, the master's thesis clarifies the definition related to reception work; also analyzes contents, missions and significance, role of reception work in office or organization.

Chapter 2. Actual Situation of Reception Work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities

The main content of this chapter focuses on surveying, evaluating the organization, implementing reception work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities (National University Hanoi). It includes the basic issues such as: organizing the department which has advisory function and supporting executive board in reception work; recrutiing and arranging, assigning work to responsible receptionist; regulating and implementing the ceremony of welcoming guests, reception etiquete in conferences, events,... such as creating the image of university; serving at leaders' offices; doing, organizing and serving the meetings, conventions, conferences and reception work. Results of surveing ​​are implemented by observing, experiencing the reality and questionnaire with asking opinions of some related people (Students, lecturors, servants and leaders of offices.

Chapter 3. Some solutions for improving the effectiveness in reception work of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University

Based on survey and evaluating the actual situation, the master's thesis proposes some solutions which aim to improve the effectiveness in organizing reception work at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including: clarifying the responsibility of Office for General Administration in organizing reception work at the university, arranging and training the responsible receptionist; promulgating the regulations of reception work; editing and adding some regulations about reception which are not suitable.

11. Practical applicability:

The Master's Thesis can support the executive board of University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University Hanoi), leaders of Office for General Administration and other faculties, servants, students to be aware of the requirements, missions and applying solutions and management in reception work as requirements.

Continuing the research and some specific solutions of reception work at university.
