The thesis aims to focus on an often overlooked aspect of peacebuilding, namely women's participation in peace and security.
- Chapter 1 of the thesis focuses on clarifying the theoretical basis and legal grounds for women to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping force. Women's participation in this force is formed based on both theoretical principles and legal frameworks to promote gender equality, human rights and the effectiveness of peacekeeping operations.
- Based on the theoretical and legal framework identified in chapter 1, the thesis focuses on clarifying the participation and contribution of women in peace missions including peace processes, the fields in which women are participating such as military, police, civil, and at the same time considering in some territories and countries in the world, including Vietnam.
- Based on the current status of women's participation and activities, the thesis evaluates the positive contributions and successes of women in the United Nations peacekeeping force, recognizes the existing difficulties, and proposes directions for women's participation in the field of peace and security in the coming time to realize the goals of the United Nations and the common commitments of the countries. In addition, the thesis also proposes to increase the participation of Vietnamese women in this force.
