This thesis analyzes the origins and content of the six precepts of harmonious respect in Buddhism, and provides a general overview of the research area. Based on this, the thesis identifies the influence of Buddhist ethics in general, and specifically the six precepts of harmonious respect, on the ethics of Buddhist followers in Gia Lam district, Hanoi city. The thesis affirms the role and influence of Buddhist ethics on the ethics of believers. It also offers several recommendations to promote the positive influences of Buddhist ethics in general, and specifically the six precepts of harmonious respect, in the ethical lives of Buddhist followers.
