Based on theory and practice, the thesis systematically presents the formation, development and characteristics of Lam Te Zen in Northern Vietnam, in which the history of Lam Te Zen in the ancestral land of Dao Xuyen is shown.
The thesis analyzed the Dharma lineage of Lam Te Zen in the ancestral land of Dao Xuyen up to now and the current status of some Buddhist activities in the Dao Xuyen mountain gate and analyzed its characteristics.
The thesis analyzed the contributions of Lam Te sect founder Dao Xuyen to Vietnamese Buddhism and pointed out some issues with Dao Xuyen sect and made some recommendations.

The results achieved in the thesis can contribute to promoting the role and value of Dao Xuyen ancestral land for Buddhism in particular and society in general.
